I'm struggling with Vykas HM Gate 1
I'm having trouble in Vykas HMC Gate 1 - is it supposed to be this difficult? I reached 1460 prior to launch, but life things happened and I was unable to participate for 2 weeks, so I didn't have the time to learn together with everyone else. I'm stuck in this as my friends have all left and the majority of my group are casual players which means they're still not ready for HM (the others are at a in their game that they're bussing in the raid).
The experience of a party finder is so painful that it makes me want to leave completely. I'm just about two to three days "behind" the crowd and it's like a an uncharted territory. I don't know how it feels for new players or casual players.
Support for learning groups is absent from learning groups... You'll probably are more likely to get getting one tap on your weapon/100 quality than you do with two support. I'm not sure why, as it is in their best interests to join experienced and high-level groups. This just makes learning extremely difficult and costly (I am out of HP potions yesterday and have already purchased the shop of Mari).
If you are able to find eight players who are willing to play the group, it usually lasts for about 2 hours or so until one player must leave or becomes annoyed and the group splits due to the frustration. A majority of the groups I've played in haven't been able to keep going to x30 for both sides in order to switch places. After a few hours, we're still barely at half-way point. Rinse and repeat the process with different groups repeatedly.
I've probably spent more than 20 hours trying to clear the Gate 1 in this particular raid. In the past few days, I've not played any daily or events, I simply login and play whatever I'm able to spend with the player finder, or in the raid, trying to achieve clear. As of this point in the day, even if obtain an Gate 1 clear I doubt I'll have enough time to learn Gate 2 and Gate 3.
I've been trying to join "learning/prog" groups, running my own learning groups and contacting official Discords to locate groups. In fact, I've tried offering a fee of a few dollars to statics already made join me and help me coach or teach me. In the end, I've mastered the gate so often that when I host an event, I'm coaching the majority of the participants through it even though I haven't even cleared it.
I'm not an exceptional player, but I believe I can confidently declare that I'm not the cause of that runs are failing. I sometimes record my game for my own evaluation and at times I'm able to take 20plus pulls in a row without losing a mech or dying. This isn't the same as Valtan where you are able to solo carry and deal damage if you're familiar with the game well enough. When two people die in any of the teams, you are required to start the fight from scratch.
